Hello Everyone!

Wow the past few weeks have flown by! It seems unbelievable that I have only spent two weekends at my own home since I was crowned your Miss United States All World Beauties 2011! Please feel free to read about my favorite events so far!

Where on earth is Miss United States All World Beauties?

2011 Bike 4 Breath
On July 23rd I was able to attend Breath California’s 20th annual Bike 4 Breath. Breath California focuses on educating schools and the community about lung health,
Bike 4 Breath is an annual fundraiser Breath California puts on to help support their efforts. While I was there I cheered on the bikers and hand out the top team awards! I also got to meet Allen Martin, CBS channel 5 news anchor for San Francisco.
On July 24th I was able to bike across the golden gate bridge for the first time.
As you can imagine, the views were breath taking!

Homecoming celebration
The week of July 30th I was able to have my homecoming celebration. It was so nice to finally celebrate my win with family and friends!

Soma Intimates National Bra Donation Event
Did you know that bras are the least donated but most needed item for women in shelters?

On August 4th I left Nevada to support Soma Intimates Bra donation event inside Sacramento California Arden Fair Mall. Through my wonderful sponsors and followers like you I was able to collect seven bags of brand new and gently used bras in just one week! A special thank-you to Jolie Intimates for making the fifty new bras (valued at 600 dollars) possible! I know the women from St. John’s shelter will be so grateful.
If you or someone you know has a few gently used bras and would like to donate them please mail them to:

San Francisco Fashion

On August 6th I left Sacramento, Ca to head to San Francisco for San Francisco Fashion Week!
I was able to experience the many upcoming fall trends and meet some incredible people. I felt honored to be surrounded by so many talented designers.

While in San Francisco I was also able to attend the 2011 Mélange Fashion Show. There was a wide range of designers from New York, Australia, Boston, and more to showcase their beautiful collections!
The official make up sponsor was Sephora and of course they did a fabulous job. One of the great things about the show was that they focused on diversity and highlighting models of all sizes, ethnicity's, and ages which is so important for people to see and acknowledge.
The show also collected 10% of their profits to donate to Breast Cancer Action! For additional information you can look at their video- just click the link on the left hand side.
This dress pictured here was one from the Lorian Lindsay collect. For more information on their clothing line visit: http://www.lorianlindsay.com/

Thank-you to Eric for letting me attend this event! I had a wonderful time.
If you missed the show this year be sure to check the Mélange web page on google for upcoming details on the 2012 show.

Success Story

And the new 2011 Miss United States All World Beauties is..."Alina Jackson"!  Jackson Brown  Jr. once said, "Never let the odds keep you from doing what you  know in your heart you were meant to do" this quote is the backbone to which I have built my life around.

I have always been extremely passionate about volunteer outreach, however after losing my speech due to a type one diabetic seizure I learned just how valuable my own voice was at the young age of fifteen. I am a success because I have been taking chances, like the chance of standing above the crowd. I made the decision to regain my speech through hard work, dedication, and perseverance. After overcoming this experience, I began devoting all of my spare time to speaking to people about being involved in their communities and encouraging other people to use their voices to create a positive impact for others. I quickly lost my fear of speaking in front of large audiences, and what doctors have called a horrific experience led me to become the incredible speaker I am today.

I am successful because not only did I ask but demand myself to make decisions that would open many doors to the careers of my choice, but I also took the chance to try new things and meet new people. There were risks I ran from pushing new limits, like working along side government officials, and filming commercials but I also took the chance of pulling my community together to make it positive, unique, and my own.
Today I am a success, and will continue to be successful because I earn it! Of course I would not be where I am today without my friends, family and teachers. They are the individuals who have assisted me in receiving my education and helped develop my potential into passions. As everyone knows, it is hard to let go of your fears and flaws but as I pause at this cornerstone before taking on the next challenge, I am always grateful for the time, dedication, and the extra push people have given me. I know without their efforts, I would not have flourished into the caring young woman I have become. Through my volunteer outreach with organizations like Girl Scouts, Project Prevent, and many many others has given me the opportunity to leave a thumbprint on the hearts of lives I have impacted, which I know will remain with them forever.

There were so many gorgeous state titleholders at the National Pageant in Chicago, IL but I am so thrilled and honored to have earned the right to represent the modern woman as the new Miss United States All World Beauties 2011!!!

I promise to use my crown and banner like a burning flame because as a role model and title holder it is my job to light the way and aim high for the people and communities across America!
